Where Buyers Go Wrong: Tank Gallons, Peak PSI, and Turbine Confusion
Three mistakes send most people home with the wrong compressor. Tank gallons, peak PSI, and turbine systems each create a different kind of confusion.
- Tank gallons measure storage, not output. A 50-gallon tank delays pressure drop, but if the pump delivers less CFM than the gun consumes, the tank eventually empties and the finish suffers. Delivered CFM at working pressure is the number that matters.
