A tiny pointer that keeps slipping into the background noise of your screen is more than annoying. Microsoft routes the cursor-size control through the Accessibility section, not the main Mouse settings panel. On Windows 11, the path is the same regardless of your display scaling.

The solution is to adjust the pointer size inside the guest OS using the same Accessibility panel described above. Should You Make The Pointer Huge Or Just A Bit Bigger?

There is one trade-off. A very large pointer can obscure the text or controls beneath it, especially on small screens or in dense UIs. The best size is the smallest one that you can find at a glance without searching. Both Microsoft and Apple leave the slider open-ended so you can land exactly there — the system does not recommend a fixed size. Start with two or three notches above the default and adjust up only if you still lose it.
