  2. Hold each bracket in place, level it with a bubble level, mark the holes, and attach it with screws matched to the surface. For pole mounting, 2.5-inch U-bolts are standard.
  3. Power off the amplifier or receiver before touching any wires.
  4. Strip about 3/8 inch of insulation from each conductor for the bracket’s terminals, or about 1/2 inch if connecting directly to the speaker’s terminals.
  5. Connect red to positive (+) and black to negative (-) at the speaker, matching the colors at the amplifier.
